Stories from Champion Chef players . . .

'Talk about hilarious!!  I'd heard all about Champion Chef and was looking forward to the night.  Cooking for 8 people was a bit daunting as I had lost my cooking mojo years ago after having my son but HELLO it was so much fun.  I was on the phone when our text messages came through with the mystery ingredient and all I heard from our lounge from my other half was 'QUAIL, what the hell do you do with quail?'  He who is a reluctant cook (great with seafood on the BBQ though) wasn't really looking forward to the night at all.  But once again HELLO, he loved it.  We both had an excellent night.  A tad bit hungover the next day but it was well worth it.  I am putting orders in for Christmas and Birthday pressies.  Bring on the next one!'

Mel and AJ - Dunsborough

"Being a novice in the kitchen, I was not really looking forward to thinking about and preparing a meal for eight people and being judged on it.  Furthermore, after pureeing food all day for my 6 month old daughter, the idea of a competition in the kitchen was not my idea of a fun night out.

I was mistaken!

Even though the mystery ingredient turned out to be date, and I may not eat a date again for a long while, my doubts were quashed within the first moments of the night.  It turned out to be an absolute blast and very entertaining, and in actual fact not the stress I had anticipated it to be.  The highlight of the night was seeing my husband and his partner Chef preparing dates for their dessert pizza to the blasting tune of 'Killing in the Name Of'.  I Plan to purchase the game and enjoy many more evenings rising to the challenge and bidding others to join me.  I do have to admit that Jo, my partner Chef and I did win.  Go the Rookies!'

'What a fantastic night!  As soon as we found out our mystery ingredient - dates - the challenge was on!  From secretly planning what our course would be, to finally cooking our culinary masterpieces, the experience was loads of fun from the start to finish!

Champion Chef creates a brilliant atmosphere and the overall evening is really well suited to dinner guests that are either old friends or new acquaintances.  Great food, lots of laughs as well as some new recipes to try at home!

'I had a brilliant night playing Champion Chef with a bunch of friends.  Great food, plenty of drinks, heaps of sledging and the joy of watching my competitors sweat bullets trying to get their dishes finished in 30 minutes - hilarious!

The other great thing - instead of the boys being outside talking footy while the girls gossiped inside, and instead of just standing around drinking, it gave the night a focus...not just for the people who can cook, for everyone.  And for those of you who love a competition, you will love Champion Chef'
